List of Freedom Fighter Events on April-1930

6- April-1930 Mahatma Gandhi picked up a lump of natural salt for breaking the 'Salt Law'. He was arrested at Dandi. This movement gathered strength and within a month about one lakh people were sent to jail. This violation of Salt Law was the second great step in India's Freedom Movement.
16- April-1930 Rioting continues in India as British police fire on mob of 10,000.
22- April-1930 Civil Disobedience at Dandi, 6th April 1930 and Civil Disobedience at Bombay, 7th April 1930, both documentary films produced by Krishna Film Co., Bombay, were prohibited by Censor Board on April 22, on the grounds that they were calculated to foster resistance to Government and to promote a breach of Law and Order.
22- April-1930 Revolutionary Surjya Sen's many associates were killed and Surjya Sen "Masterda" himself went underground, on Jalalabad Hill and started extending his activities to neighbouring districts.
23- April-1930 Riots break out in Peshawar; 20 Indians shot down after killing of three Britishers.
